Anyone like the soundtrack?

While the themes and ambient music for this game certainly doesn't fit a Fallout game by a long mile, do you think Inon Zur did well with capturing the colonial feel that Boston represents? You'll find this prevalent when in settlements or the Minutemen Castle. The music fits very well with that tone at least, and I congratulate Inon Zur for managing to capture that.

In addition, while there's less variety in the music tones than in the older games, I have to say the Railroad and Institute ambient themes capture their respective tone perfectly, and adds a shade of variety to the game's soundtrack.

And while I do agree that many of the combat music tends to be a little repetitive and occasionally outright derivative, the contrast in the faction themes and the colonial instrumental music sets out to create an excellent "rainbow" of background music for the game, and for that at least, I applaud Bethesda, but mostly Inon Zur.

[UPDATE]:

Here are the ones I mentioned. Obviously, some of you might not find these to your tastes, but they're some of my favourite ambient music in gaming now. Feel free to share your views down below.

The Railroad Themes - Techno Thriller

The Institute Themes
- Utopian Science

Minutemen/Settlement Themes
- Colonial Boston Music

Personal Favourites - Combat Music (a tad bit too generic-heroic for a Fallout game, but as standalone music pieces they are quite good)
