So yeah, after digging around a bit on these boards, I've found out about Omega Syndrome, got pretty stoked and then discovered the plug was pulled from the project. I've been looking on the internet for a bit to see if I could still somewhere find a download, but to no avail. The last reply to the thread about the plug being pulled was somewhere in 2007, so I didn't feel like replying there.
So my question is, does anyone on this board still have the game? Would it even be legal to share it here, now the sale of the game has stopped, and all free download links seem to have been removed? I've seen some soft-tonic downloads, but I won't even bother with them 'cause I don't like having to use a bazillion spyware and adware removal tools just to get my PC to act normal again.
*IF* it is legal to still share this game, would anyone here be willing to do so? If it is legal I think some sort of peer-to-peer download would be best instead of hosting the thing on a server, but I dunno. Whichever works. I'd love to get my hands on this.
So, for now, I will just start playing Arcanum (which for some reason I haven't still yet played), but still. I'm pretty stoked for Omega Syndrome. Also, I'll start browsing here some more to see if there's some more indie games out there in this spirit.
